While the design motifs in this little bagface are very common, the rendering of them in an array of 12 different colors is another matter.  Two of those shades – a pale green and a pale aubergine – appear only in the main border.  Although a coarse weaving in terms of knot count, this little piece is a gem among its peers.

Asymmetrical, open to left on left half, open to righ on right half  h: 6  v: 7  kpi: 42

 (12) dark blue, light blue, blue-green, dark aubergine, light aubergine, brown, brown-black, yellow, pale green, pale red, burnt orange, white

Selvages:

2 weft-wrapped double warps

Ends:

Weft-faced plainweave with weft substitution
