Small Rug

23

Could this little weaving possibly be a child’s sofreh or eating rug?  The brown sawtoothed triangles lining the field, (a common feature in sofreh of the “Baluch”), and the elaborate end finishes, identical at both ends, certainly suggest so.  The subtle interplay of colors, highlighted by touches of a glowing electric blue, make this a joyous little piece.
