Rug

27

This rug, also woven in the “Aimaq” tradition, is a marvelous example of how cleverly conceived random placement of a multitude of tiny, many-colored elements can create the perception of depth and movement.  While weavers of the “Baluch” persuasion typically use between six and eight colors, this artist called upon 12 colors to create the effect she wanted.
