There is movement and rhythm in the drawing of this old bagface seldom seen in the signature “bird bags” of the “Baluch”.  Notice how the tiny snowflake forms add sparkle to an otherwise somber setting.  Note too the “birds” squishing in from left and right, and the others emerging angularly from the bottom.  Exactly what – or which creature – this figure represents has never been conclusively determined.

Brown wool – Z2S.  Two shoots

Asymmetrical, open to left.  h: 6  v: 8  kpi: 48

 (6) dark blue, medium blue, red, light red, brown, white

Selvages:

2 warp cords weft-wrapped

Ends:

Weft-faced plainweave with weft substitution and overlay-underlay brocading
