This weaving is, in my opinion, a masterpiece of tribal creativity; a work of art fashioned with eight richly-saturated colors, exquisite wool, and an impeccable sense of design.  Notice that while the color placement of the “birds” is symmetrical, the weaver has manipulated spacings and “bird” sizes in clever ways to create the appearance of beautifully balanced asymmetry.  The vibrant orange-red of the border, a color that appears nowhere else in the piece, provides a dramatic frame for all that’s inside. The back and closure panel of this piece are both intact, as are its braided goat-hair closure loops, a rare find in old "Baluch" transport bags.
