This chuval is the epitome of “quirkiness.”
Its guls are the large ones normally found in torbas—Tekke chuvals
normally have small guls; the elem design is unique as far as we
know, and definitely quirky; within a broad horizontal band
containing the middle row of guls, all the white knots are in
cotton—elsewhere they are in wool; additional “tsatskes” can be
found here and there; the rendition and positioning of many of the
design elements is far less exacting than one expects from a Tekke.
