Tekke Chuval

This chuval is the epitome of “quirkiness.” Its guls are the large ones normally found in torbas—Tekke chuvals normally have small guls; the elem design is unique as far as we know, and definitely quirky; within a broad horizontal band containing the middle row of guls, all the white knots are in cotton—elsewhere they are in wool; additional “tsatskes” can be found here and there; the rendition and positioning of many of the design elements is far less exacting than one expects from a Tekke.
