Tekke Torba Fragment

2' 4" X 1' 7"

15

The spare ornament within the large “archetypal” main guls is very rare and contributes to the spacious effect of the whole torba. The presence of the delicate white “brackets” on the horizontal arms of the secondary, chemche guls is also unusual, as is the border design. In sum, the ensemble is striking and unexpected.
