Pieces of this design are extremely rare,
with one published example from the Hintlian collection in Mackie &
Thompson Turkmen Tribal Carpets and Traditions (plate 59), and a
second fragment in a German collection. This example stands out from
the others for the relative spaciousness in and around the major
guls, the greater variety in the rendition of the secondary chemches
and the borders, and the additional interest from the partial guls
at the sides.
